Whole-Body Dentistry
Holistic Dentistry
Biological dentists recognize the impact toxic materials can have on dental and physiological health, and care about the integrity of the whole body. Not just the tooth in front of them. At Pearl Zadeh DDS, every material, test, and procedure is chosen with your overall wellbeing in mind: biocompatible, mercury-free, and unhurried.
“Western medicine tends to separate the head from the rest of the body. The two are not separate entities.”
. Dr. Pearl Zadeh, DDS
The mouth is part of the body
Dr. Zadeh believes many dental and systemic conditions may be connected, so care starts by looking at the bigger picture of the body as a whole. While we are a dental office and can only diagnose within the scope of dentistry, Dr. Zadeh takes a collaborative approach. Working closely with excellent colleagues in medicine, naturopathy, and chiropractic, and referring you to trusted specialists whenever something outside our scope deserves a closer look.
The mercury question
Traditional silver-colored amalgam fillings are roughly half mercury. Biological dentistry treats that as a material worth taking seriously: we never place amalgam, and when patients choose to have old fillings replaced, removal follows the strict SMART protocol so nothing is released into your body along the way. Curious what your existing fillings are doing? A simple in-office mercury vapor test turns the question into a number.
Materials your body agrees with
What we place matters as much as what we remove. Through dental compatibility testing, serum screening, biofeedback, and applied kinesiology, restorative materials are matched to you before anything is bonded, and our biomimetic approach keeps as much of your natural tooth as possible.
Four pillars of biological care
Mercury-safe
No amalgam placed, ever. And SMART-protocol removal for the fillings you already have.
Biocompatible
Metal-free, tested materials selected to suit your body, not just your bite.
Minimally invasive
Preserve healthy tooth structure first; restore conservatively, in the biomimetic tradition.
Whole-body view
Nutrition, airway, jaw joint, and systemic health all belong in the conversation.
Credentials that hang on our wall
